I am not heartless to the homeless...I help out if I can...But there is more month than there is MONEY..after rent...bills...and a few grocieries.

I am stuggling like alot of People..why because my RENT keeps going UP , MY POWER BILL  FOOD..just not my pension...

As I went to take out my trash this morning..there is 2 guys at the back door of my building again...but this time they are shooting UP!

It's a reguarlar thing people sleeping in the hallways...last week I had a gang war going on...doors were busted...3am people screaming and yelling...Tagged the building... Its probably not the end of this...but I have added a bit of secuity to my windows...Not that it would stop anyone if they really wanted to get in...and yes a few have tried!

I don't scare easy... I have had my fair share of struggles...addiction...I know just how hard it is to get out of it...But I got lucky...I have been clean and sober 21 years now..so Yes I do know its not easy and I have to be on gaurd everyday to not go back there...

My Son Clayton who I have mentioned..was a drug addict...heroin..crack...living on hastings in Vancouver... I lost my Son 6 years ago now and Man it still hurts..with Xmas it is even harder....But I couldn't get him clean...He tired many times but it was hard for HIM...But regardless he is MY SON AND I LOVE AND MISS HIM..

The homeless number keeps going UP...the effect on our Mental Health is at breaking point....the FOOD BANKS...everything is at breaking POINT.

Single Men and Woman are always the last it seems they Help...I don't see where that is far...but I don't make the Laws..and well some of them suck!

Why is the government not trying to help the Single people as WELL they to can't afford a place to live...a MIssion...or shelter is NOT an option... it may be all they have for a few days..but its not a fix to the problem we have.

My Son used the shelter's and mission as well...but out the door at 7am for the day and if you don't get in line early enough YOU DON"T GET A BED... They must feel hopeless at times wondering the streets trying to find a warm place in the burtal cold and wind.....But they are the forgotten ones as well.

Yes many of Us are struggling...families...young people who can't get a place they can afford...Who just want to start their lives but keep getting knocked back..cause there is nothing they can afford...

An extra 25 dollars this month on my pension for Xmas... thanks but hey that doesn't even buy the small turkey....let alone anything else..I used the 25$ for a bill...

Some company got a bit more cause that is who I had to give it to! This is not right in so many ways....The bills don't stop coming in Dec and Jan...if anything they get higher...it's colder, food is expensive....RENT is taking 58%...

How do I expalin to my grandkids grandma can't buy you much again cause I don't have the MONEY....It makes me cry myself to sleep at night...

Black Friday...Cyper Monday...don't matter when we don't have anything extra!!! There were few line ups this Year....Gone are the days when we waited for theses days cause we had a few extra dollars and could save up for the special thing we wanted...

We are in a crisis...we are bring brought to our KNEE"S...we are stressed, sick and tired of the empty promises...

We want this to change NOW..before more people are homeless...More family's wonder what NOW...

Time the government LISTENED...WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!!
