Getting back to the matter at hand!

I spendt a few days kickking my own butt for a unnessisay post..that yes I heard you and it has been removed again I do aopligize.

Yesterday I was spending time looking at different 1 brdm apratments in different city's in Canada...and after an few hours I got the smae thing..

NOTHING I could afford...or many others for that matter...

Not much under 1,000 a month! I cna't pay that much....I am on a fixed pension..and many other families who need more than a 1 bedroom can't afford a place either.

So it is Back to food OR Rent and now HEAT...

HEAT OR FOOD should never be a OR either in Canada...

I have read an artical where Landloards are complaining because people are behind on the RENT...Why well maybe because they are charging a stupid amount! They don't fix anything, and We are trying to EAT and keep warm as well!

If we can get rents back under control..Landloards win! WE win...Stop the greed!

In 2012 I moved back to the Okanogan to help My ageing Parents, My Mom had Parkinson's and I wanted to spend time with them. 

I found a 1 bdrm...It was nice..close to the Lake and close enough to pop in and help My dad with Mom to give him a bit of a break...My rent was 520. a month.

Unfortunatly after 2 years of fighting to find work in the winter in a small town in the okanogan is almost impossible..I had cashed in my RRSP's, did as many jobs as I could to try and survive...but a fter 3 years I had to admit defeat and Moved back to ETOWN.

The very same apratment I had for 2 years at 520. is Now 1500 a month!!!

Nothing in the place has changed! Same old place fixed up a bit...but yup its that expensive NOW!!

It is wrong..It is hurting famlies, Food Banks, people trying to get by!

I have mentioned the holiday season is now on Us..you can't turn on the TV with out hearing what on sale this week or the new gadgets....

I can't use Santa Annonomos as a grandma of 5. I have been trying to put a bit away for a few months now but it seems something is always coming up or going UP!.

I feel guilty if I go to the food bank...cause maybe I am taking something that a family might need...I am doing ok...as far as feeding myself low budget food...and things that fill ya UP. So I try and not bother the food bank as they are bursting right now with NEED as well.

We are not asking for MUCH..we are asking for what we DESERVE..a safe place to life that we can afford...food in the fridge and on the table, spending time with our family...Anything any one who LIVES in CANADA..is entitled to!

So as winter sets in and my heating now goes up as well...as my food bill it seems every month...Lets keep signing and tell them WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH! Lets take back the control! Lets Be heard! Together WE can do this....

Jan is coming and then we will be HEARD..I will not go away untill everyone who can Help Us gets a copy, every local,  Provience, and Federal...will all be hearing from Us!
