The Issue

As I'm sure you're aware, the cost of living crisis is very much real, and with rising prices and inflation, it gets you wondering how long before it stops going up. Well I have a solution to stop it going up, in a way similar to what Gustav Stresseman did in Germany back in the 1920s, with his solution to hyperinflation of introducing a new currency. Only this time, the currency is not new.

One time, only a year or so ago, I went to a local shop to go and buy some bread, and it was at its normal price, but when I came back for some more the next week, the price had increased by 6%! Inflation is a huge issue.

We should bring back pre-decimal currency in England (shillings and half pennies, that sort of thing) as a solution to inflation. The current British economy has had an inflation rate of 6.7% since September this year and that number is not changing. There is also the problem of rising interest rates which contribute to the economy's downfall. The gross domestic product (GDP) growth for a healthy economy is around 2-3% and anything above that is the sign of a very strong economy, however, here in the UK the GDP growth rate is at around 0.4% and is said to go down to 0.3% in 2024. We must stop this to save the economy and combat the cost of living.

We should take in the current money and get rid of it all, starting again with farthings, half pennies, pennies, three pennies, sixpence, shillings, florins, half crowns and crowns.

We can then solve inflation and invest in synthetic fuels to help with the cost of living and to protect the environment.

In 19th Century England there was no inflation but instead deflation so prices were going down, and you know what money they had back then? Shillings and half pennies.

Join me and we can start a revolution to help the economy and make the world a better place.

Our goal is to get 100,000 signatures to have this discussed in UK Parliament.
