I, like many of you, have had my day ruined by the inconvenience of a soggy paper straw. We've all been there - sitting down to enjoy a refreshing beverage only to find our drinking experience marred by the rapid disintegration of an ill-suited paper straw. This is not just about me; it's about my friends, family, and countless strangers who have been affected by this seemingly trivial yet deeply frustrating change.

The ban on plastic straws was implemented with good intentions for environmental conservation. However, it has resulted in an ironic situation where we are handed a paper straw in a fully plastic cup at fast food chains. The final blow came when juice boxes - our last bastion of reliable plastic straws - also switched over to cardboard.


We're calling on our government to bring back plastic straws or provide better alternatives that don't compromise on user experience while still being environmentally friendly.
