College is already difficult enough. Days of studying, lacking sufficient money, and living in like two feet of living space can be difficult for any person who attends American university. Luckily, I had the broccoli and cheddar mac and cheese to get me through the dark, frigid nights. 

When dining hall food failed me, it shone as a bright orange beacon. When I needed to soothe my fraught nerves, it tore me out of the anxiety and settled my stomach. When I was cold, it warmed me more than a loving hug.

Then, poof. It was gone. I was devastated. 

My fellow Americans— my fellow HUMANS, we must band together and fight for the right to enjoy Panera’s best creation. Yes, a sandwich is lovely and all, but what is a sandwich without a satisfyingly textured side dish? Also, unlike the charged lemonades that have been known to cause problems, this mac helped so many. 

Panera, please bring it back. Save our beloved green and gold savory side dish. Or else many will fall victim to the white mac, a much less flavorful option.
