Since Growing Concerrns Ltd closed a year ago,  our community has lost a vital resource.

More than just a shop and garden centre, this space (run by Clarion Housing) was also:

• a community permaculture garden tended by regular volunteers from the East End Women’s Institute;
• a knowledge hub for gardening and growing expertise of all kinds; 
• a weekly forrest school venue for children ages 1-4 from The Montessori On The Park Nursery;
• local employment for 3 FTE plus seasonal staff. 

This petition requests that Clarion Housing use this space as per its planning permission as a garden centre and community space in keeping with the Local Plan, and do not seek to change its use.
