The Target: The Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) and the Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The Problem: Since the closure of MovieTowne Tobago, residents of Tobago have been left without a single public movie theater on the island. Local families, youth, and movie lovers now have no accessible venue for big-screen entertainment, community gatherings, or local film screenings without taking an expensive trip to Trinidad. A major piece of our island’s social life and cultural infrastructure is entirely missing.

The Ask: We, the undersigned residents and supporters of Tobago, call upon the THA and the business community to actively intervene. We urge you to offer tax incentives, subsidized rental spaces, or public-private partnerships to attract a new cinema operator or support local entertainment entrepreneurs to restore big-screen entertainment to our island.
