On January 9, 2023, news broke that Netflix canceled the second season of the show Inside Job, despite having renewed it. 
The creator of the show, Shion Takeuchi, tweeted, “I'm heartbroken to confirm that has decided to cancel Season 2 of 'Inside Job. Over the years, these characters have become real people to me, and I am devastated not to be able to watch them grow up."
