Bring back incandescent light bulbs

Bring back incandescent light bulbs

The Issue

I am writing this petition because I am truly disheartened by the disappearance of incandescent light bulbs in our daily lives. Many of us have had to make the switch to LED bulbs, which are marketed as being more energy-efficient and long-lasting. However, my personal experience has been quite the opposite, and I am sure many of you feel the same way.

LED bulbs, despite their touted benefits, have consistently underperformed in my home. They flicker incessantly, creating an annoying and sometimes harmful environment. Studies have shown that flickering lights can trigger migraines, exacerbate vertigo, and even affect mental health, causing stress and anxiety. Incandescent bulbs, on the other hand, provided a consistent and warm light that rarely flickered and was always reliable.

Moreover, the lifespan of LED bulbs has failed to meet the promises made by manufacturers. I've found myself frequently replacing LED bulbs, while my old incandescent bulbs lasted for years without issues. This ongoing replacement not only causes inconvenience but also negates any supposed cost savings from their long life.

It is not just about the inconvenience and health concerns; it is about having a choice. Many consumers prefer the quality and warmth of incandescent lighting. Just because something seems more technically advanced does not mean it is better for everyone. We should have the freedom to choose the lighting options that suit our health and home needs best.

I urge lawmakers and relevant authorities to reconsider the ban on incandescent light bulbs. Let's prioritize consumer choice and wellbeing. Sign this petition to bring back incandescent light bulbs and make our homes comfortable and healthy again.
