Hello everyone,

As a passionate Batman fan, I deeply feel the importance of consistency in portraying this beloved character. For me — and I believe for many of you — Danny Elfman’s original 1989 Batman theme is an essential part of Batman’s identity.

When James Gunn decided to use John Williams’ original Superman theme for Superman (2025), he showed great respect for the character’s legacy and for the fans. I truly believe the same should be done for the new Batman in the DCU.

Danny Elfman’s theme is iconic and widely loved, as proven by its use in Batman: The Animated Series, Tim Burton’s Batman, and the LEGO Batman video games. Reusing it (with a modern touch) in the new film would be a fitting tribute to Batman’s legacy and a meaningful way to honor the emotional investment of lifelong fans.

We appreciate the attention to legacy shown with Superman — now let’s give Batman the same respect.
