Bring Back Chichos: Save Boston’s Beloved Elote Cart

Bring Back Chichos: Save Boston’s Beloved Elote Cart
The Issue
Bring Back Chichos: Save Back Bay's Esquite Cart
He’s not just selling esquites. He’s sharing culture, love, and community.
For over a year, Chicho's has brought the vibrant flavors of Mexico to the Back Bay, serving esquites with heart, care, and pride. His cart has been fully compliant, safe, and a joyful part of our neighborhood, a place where people come together, smile, and connect through food and culture.
But now, the City of Boston’s Small Business Department is forcing Chicho's to shut down as of October 31st.
This is more than just one small business being silenced, it's more than just a cart. It’s about what kind of city we want Boston to be. Do we want a city filled only with big corporate chains? Or one that celebrates the diversity, passion, and creativity of local entrepreneurs who give back to their communities?
Chicho's represents everything that makes Boston strong. Resilience, hard work, and cultural pride. By standing together, we can make sure he’s not the last small business to be pushed out by red tape and bureaucracy.
Sign this petition to bring back Chicho's.
Let’s show the City of Boston that we stand for small businesses, for culture, and for community.
The support doesn't have to start there! Make Instagram stories, post about it, talk about a memory. @Mayor Wu and Chicho's, use #SaveChichos and #LetChichosStay.
