We have went REALLY FAR in our defense for amber and dark sky lighting! I have an AMAZING goal for 2 states and bringing in 150 signatures as our VICTORY GOAL!
The 2 states are:
- New Mexico
- Michigan

1. Michigan and Detroit.
These states due to their struggles in keeping up with economic issues, have been one of the biggest attention centers for light pollution. Detroit, MI has been CONTINUOUSLY installing white 3000k and 4000k streetlights across their city. And because Detroit, (Known as the Motor City) thought that installing BRIGHT WHITE lights across the city would decrease robbery and crime there. BUT! Sadly that has made things MORE WORSE and DANGEROUS for the post apocalyptical city looking city. Detroit is a REALLY BEAUTIFUL city that brings an apocalyptic atmosphere and HISTORIC, INDUSTRIAL AND MODERN buildings! Detroit's people keep it that way for a MAJOR reason!
But with white lighting in the city can bring and increase of people getting hurt and robberies rising! I ask people from Michigan to come forth to sign this petition but also, CONTACTING your state's leaders to TEAR DOWN white lighting and bring safety to this AMAZING BEAUTIFUL state! Also, do NOT forget to contact the state's house and legislature. Let them know that IF YOU THINK white light is bringing and increasing crime in your area, then now is the time to take action! Thank You Michiganders for taking the time to do this!

2. New Mexico and Albuquerque.
Albuquerque is coming EXTREMELY NOTORIOUS and NOT IN A GOOD WAY for white light pollution! Since the BIG LED INSTALLENMENT back in 2016 Albuquerque was getting good publicity and support for white lighting. Assuming that it would put a stop to many different things from, crime to protecting and allowing drivers to see better. But all hell had broken loose when a LOT of the streetlights were getting stolen, flashing like crazy and even turning purple!
When the city saw these issues growing and getting concerned for the safety of the city, they would just add even MORE LED white lights and replace them with already broken and stolen ones. Things even took a more DARKER TURN when people and the media started publicizing these issues and factoring the city's BIGGEST PROBLEM, (LIGHT POLLUTION). The city of Albuquerque took in defense that these light are what the city needs and claiming, "the more light the better!" But we got to remember, MORE LIGHT IS NOT BETTER! Taking out our night time sky and hurting the night time environment!
These issues started to BACKFIRE and SMASH the city's reputation. Even to the point where threatening and lawsuits MAY HAPPEN! If you or loved ones live in Albuquerque, New Mexico or New Mexico alone and feel threatened by these white lights. Let the STATE know that this is NOT acceptable and remind them that white light is NOT better but rather WORSE! Contact state officials to explain that they ARE REQUIRED by nightsky association regulations are a MANDATORY thing! And that the City of Albuquerque needs to GET RID of these white lights and bring back AMBER LIGHTING!
Do NOT forget to contact the state's governor IF you feel like this concern is NOT being PROPERLY taken care of. Albuquerque and New Mexico are a BEAUTIFUL place to visit every year! And we the people feel it should be COMFORTABLE AND SAFE! Thank You New Mexicans for taking YOUR time in signing this petition and taking the action to stop light pollution!

Let's reach 150 signatures and contact these locations on light polluted and dangers! And tell them that we do NOT feel safe or comfortable in white lighting environments at night! You all have been REALLY AMAZING and THANK you for your amazing support!
Once we contact these states and cities AND! Force them to fix the streetlight infrastructure, we will FINALLY be able put the NIGHTMARE AND HORROR of white lighting behind us and DECLARE that VICTORY we've been craving for 10 years now! God bless you and God bless this country for it's capability!
