Arianne did something her cast and crew were afraid to do. She visited HR. She spoke with Ken Corday, the executive producer about being harassed and female cast members being targeted and laid off.
They were and probably still are too afraid to talk. They didn’t like their workplace, they didn’t feel comfortable, some of them left because of it.. but they were too afraid to talk for fear of repercussions.
Going to HR is supposed to be a protected act but it did indeed appear to result in Ari being written out of the show for a months worth of show and pay.
Her travel stipend was discontinued due to “Budget cuts”
She didn’t get to negotiate her contract like she always had. Instead they made one offer and said take it or leave it.
25 years of service on this show and she visits HR and basically ends her time there.
Ken Corday says she wasn’t retaliated against and Albert Alaar says he was targeted for being a black man in a position of power.
Where is the accountability for creating a toxic work environment? Where is the accountability for women being harassed continually and afraid to speak up?
Why would you allow such an environment to exist in this day and age?
These are actresses women have looked up to and followed for years. They have played dynamic and strong characters. Yet they fear their workplace, they fear losing their job and their pay is allegedly lower than their male counterparts.
is this 2024 or 1954? Have we evolved or has this show existed in a male dominated and run environment so long.. that this behavior was commonplace?
We need Arianne back. We need our longtime favorite female cast members back. We need the show we were used to tuning in back.
But I think the move to Peacock may be this shows undoing. So I need everyone to continue to share this petition and keep this fight going for Arianne and for them.
please do everything you can to keep our movement from stalling and stand with Ari.
