What I’ve learned from doing this petition and hearing all the sides and from the fans is that Ken Corday Productions didn’t do enough or really anything to protect the female cast and crew.
There was no HR on site and there were signs that the female cast was unhappy and in some case unwilling to commit to being on set on a consistent basis. And in a time where being a full time cast member is harder than being recurring.
Then you also have a schedule that is busy and also inconsistent which leads cast and crew to find side hustles and use their savings to get by because their salary from the show isn’t enough.
To not insist and help Arianne with the HR process is like turning a blind eye to what’s happening. Like Standing by Alaar, who wrote Ari out of the show during the harassment investigation; and only letting him go due to Public Backlash.
If you’re only showing up to the studio for PR Photo shoots. You’re obviously unaware of the toxic work environment since everyone is on their best behavior.
But how unaware can you be when most of your core female cast has left or been let go?
Wouldn’t you want to get to the bottom of what’s going on? Wouldn’t you want to retain these women who are long time favorites and also treat them and make sure they are treated with dignity and respect?
Before Ari went to HR people had to know. Why did they let it continue for so long and why does it have to all come to a head with Arianne losing her job?
I respectfully request that another member of the Corday family take over. Someone who can take an interest in this show and the people who work on it.
Someone who can bring these actresses, including Arianne, back to the cast and right this Gigantic wrong.
These actresses aren’t as replaceable as they were made to think. They are missed and they make up the shows history and future.
Without them there is no Us. When Arianne’s last air date comes I hope you’re ready to see a giant dip in viewership. It will happen. It is coming. And we won’t be paying for something unfamiliar, un-entertaining and unwatchable.
You can start spinning how amazing the anniversary storylines are going to be in November but truth is.. we won’t be watching until your storylines bring back our actresses and showcase stronger women with storylines we actually care about. Storylines that are female focused with issues that are relevant to your female audience.
We stand with Ari
