Police promise to 'fight us all the way'

At a recent meeting, which was planned to negotiate a compromise deal as promised by local police chief Nev Kemp in the local press, the head of Sussex Police Licensing - Jean Irving, promised to 'fight til the end' our compromise proposals of a 1am alcohol licence and a 4am (max) music and dance curfew. This represented a considerable compromise on our part but was met with just a wall of intransigence and obstruction. We are at a loss as to why the police are so opposed to our charitable project. They are happy operating a policy of containment and that any more people must equate to more trouble, regardless of the cultural or social circumstances. So please share the petition on your social media, our target is 2000 signatures by the time we go to the licensing committee in mid February. Many thanks, The Synergy Centre Team.
