To all who have supported us in this work:
We thank you, all 5,000+ of you, for taking the time to sign and share this petition, and for your determination in holding BYU accountable. Change takes time.
We are delighted to share with you that the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA), the accrediting arm of the American Speech-Language Hearing Association, has launched a formal investigation to determine whether BYU's Speech-Language Pathology master's program is in compliance with the CAA's Standards of Accreditation. This is huge. If BYU's master's program loses its accreditation, it will impact students and faculty alike.
We have attached a link to an article by Kyle Ashworth at Latter Gay Stories. At the bottom of the article you can read the official letter sent by the CAA to BYU with more specifics about the investigation.
Thank you, again, for the work you have done. We will keep you updated as time goes on. For now, let's address the other anti-trans legislation going through our states and keep up the fight!
Sincerely,
