Traffickers do not even need weapons—they just pick them up, drop them into sacks, and trap them in cages like this one.

Over 1 million pangolins have been stolen from the wild in the last decade, making them the most heavily trafficked mammal on Earth. They face a horrific fate. Millions are brutally slaughtered, boiled, and eaten every day as a high-end luxury delicacy and status symbol in upscale restaurants. Others are sold for their scales to be used in unproven traditional medicine, or kept alive to be traded as illegal pets and luxury goods.
Even helpless newborns and fetuses are treated as exotic novelty ingredients. They are literally being eaten to extinction simply to show off wealth at luxury dinner tables.

Seeing an animal locked away, terrified, and reduced to a meal must be our call to action. We cannot stand by and watch a species be driven to absolute extinction by illegal criminal networks.
