Brandon Macey Needs to Resign

Brandon Macey Needs to Resign
The Issue
Our churches continue to be led by men who are not Biblically and/or organizationally qualified to serve as an overseer of people. It is time for these men to take responsibility for their actions.
If change does not start now, the circle of abuse will continue. This must end.
We, the undersigned members of the United Pentecostal Church International and other faith communities, urgently appeal to address a matter of utmost importance that directly impacts our cherished church community's integrity and moral standing. With heavy hearts and a shared sense of responsibility, we come together to petition for the immediate resignation of Executive Pastor (Director) Brandon Macey.
This leader has been and is embroiled in a series of deeply troubling scandals that have left a dark stain on the organization's reputation. These incidents have brought immense pain and disillusionment to many faithful members, eroding the very essence of trust and belief in the sacred role of a pastor.
The allegations against Brandon Macey encompass a myriad of ethical and moral violations that are entirely incompatible with our values as a Christian community. The evidence presented thus far raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of his restoration into ministry.
We firmly believe that a leader in Brandon Macey's position must uphold the highest standards of integrity, compassion, and honesty. Instead, his actions have caused harm to individuals and families, betraying the trust that was once placed in his spiritual guidance.
Furthermore, Brandon Macey's refusal to resign despite the mounting evidence against him indicates an unwillingness to take responsibility for his actions and a blatant disregard for the well-being of the spiritual community. This prolonged resistance to stepping down not only deepens the wounds but also prevents the healing and restoration that the victims need.
By signing this petition, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to preserving the sanctity of the faith community and seeking a path toward healing. We implore the Royalwood Church Board, the South Texas District of the UPCI, David Bernard UPCI General Superintendent and the UPCI General Board to take immediate action in initiating and influencing the resignation process of Brandon Macey.
We understand that this decision may be difficult, but we firmly believe that it is the only course of action. It is essential that we take a stand against any form of misconduct within our religious organization and ensure that our leaders uphold the values they preach. Our faith community deserves a leader who embodies the principles of compassion, humility, and accountability, and we believe that a new chapter can be written with the departure of Brandon Macey.
Thank you for considering our petition. May we move forward together on a path of healing, accountability and reconciliation
