Phone Call to D.C. 10-6-17

This is a photo of the Farmer John Slaughterhouse in Los Angeles. Out of respect for those who fell victim to the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on October 1, I didn’t call the congressman’s staff on October 2. I waited until today. I called his D.C. office and spoke with a member of his staff. I left a detailed message for his Legislative Director. After calling both his L.A. and D.C. offices on June 5, I was asked to send a detailed email to his Legislative Director along with a link to this petition. After not receiving an email back from the Legislative Director, I followed up with another phone call on June 16. His staff told me that they would get back to me, but wouldn’t commit to a specific date. I went back to the slaughterhouse in July. I was once again with a group of activists giving water to the pigs who were arriving on the trucks at night. I used all my photos and video to further expose the hideous treatment of the pigs and gain support for this campaign. Our numbers have grown considerably since June. I follow the Congressman on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I am still waiting to hear back from his office.
