Council "dismiss" petition of 7000+ signatures.

This shows you just how much Bracknell Forest Council really care about a) the future of the facility and b) the opinion and feelings of those who elected them / pay their council tax. However, looking at the dates of signatures (all of which are before the executive report highlighting the option now being considered was published), I’m assuming these were collected in response to the original concern to protect the building and grounds from any potential housing development as opposed to the current recommendation which is to greatly enhance and protect the property through external investment and operation but with no housing proposals? Given this is the case, I really can’t see its value since the basis on which the signatures were collected is completely different to the current recommendation being considered by the executive and although you use the word “inevitable” with regards to housing I’m afraid there really is no basis for that assertion.
