On January 23, 2013 the Boyle Heights Neighborhood Council voted and passed a motion in support of the Fifteen Group's Wyvernwood "redevelopment" project. The vote, however, was in violation of various by-laws, including that the public was not properly informed about the location of the council meeting. The Fifteen Group's proposed project has been guised as a community development project, when in reality it may displace more than 1,200 families. The "redevelopment" project will create more density in all ready dense area, have a significant environmental impact in the Boyle Heights area and displace the Wyvernwood community.
