Hello everyone, my name is Trey Yarnall. I am a 2016 graduate of Boyertown Area Senior High.

This petition is written on behalf of many Boyertown community members and alumni, including myself, that are quite concerned upon hearing that Ms. Kirstin Lord will be up for election for a spot on the Boyertown Area School Board.

Ms. Lord has a long history of using extremely disparaging, racially insensitive remarks about African Americans as well as other minorities online. In the image provided you can see her casually admit that she does not see any problem with the use of a racial slur directed at African Americans. She has also used the terms "colored people" and "animals" in reference to minorities in other instances.

Boyertown is for all people, and these statements by Ms. Lord are certainly not views cohesive with the Boyertown Area School District motto of "Cultivating an exceptional, innovative learning community that enables ALL students to succeed..."

Due to these remarks made by Ms. Lord, myself as well as the other signers do not feel that Ms. Lord would fairly or equally serve all of her constituents within the district. We are formally petitioning the Boyertown Area School District, as well as the Boyertown Area School Board, to immediately recall Ms. Lord in the instance that she is elected to the school board.

If this should occur, we heavily advise the district, as well as the board, to fill Ms. Lord's spot with the elections runner-up, so as to not interfere with the school board's duties anymore than necessary.

During my time in the school district the school leadership put heavy emphasis on being "No Place for Hate". We hope that the district and board leadership will stand by this precedent and remove Ms. Lord if she is elected.
