Boycott the National Enquirer
The Issue
I am deeply disturbed by the National Enquirer's persistent and disrespectful portrayal of Michael Jackson. They continue to refer to him as "WACKO JACKO", a term loaded with derogatory implications in their May 18th - 2026 Cycle., including imagery that exacerbates a false narrative of him. This legacy of mockery continues even after his unfortunate passing, despite numerous pleas from fans, family, and advocates to respect his legacy.
The release of the film "Michael", which celebrates the artistic genius and humanitarian contributions of Michael Jackson, is being tarnished by such derogatory references. Michael Jackson was more than a global superstar; he was a pioneer in music and entertainment, a humanitarian dedicated to global causes, and a beloved figure to millions around the world.
The media often wield a powerful influence, shaping public perception and opinion. The National Enquirer’s insistence on using derogatory language is not only disrespectful to Jackson's memory but also harmful to his family and fans who are tirelessly working to preserve his legacy.
We must hold media outlets accountable for their words. We need to demand higher standards of respect and integrity from those who have a platform to influence the minds of millions. Boycotting the National Enquirer sends a clear message that we, as a community, will not support publications that choose to profit from insult and injury.
Join me in this movement to demand respect for Michael Jackson and all individuals who have been unjustly targeted by irresponsible journalism. By boycotting the National Enquirer, we are taking a stand against media bullying and advocating for respectful and truthful representation in the media.
Please sign this petition to boycott the National Enquirer until they cease their derogatory portrayal of Michael Jackson and commit to higher standards of journalistic integrity.
