If you haven’t already, now is the time to boycott Gal Gadot. Gal Gadot is an israeli actress who is best known for her role as Wonder Woman in the DC movies, as well as formerly serving in the israeli army. Due to her knowledge and experience with israeli military weapons, she was picked by the director, Justin Lin, to play the role of Gisele Yashar in the Fast and Furious series. Gal has been known to post about praying for her fellow israelis while condemning the Palestinian People, the Indigenous People of Palestine. She has even used hashtags such as #loveidf and #freegazafromhamas, while the very army she served is still inflicting terror and genocide against the Palestinian People. On top of that, she joined numerous celebrities in performing a cover of “Imagine” during the COVID-19 pandemic and stated in an interview that “We’re all in this together.” The Palestinian People are the ones who are truly impacted, as they have been under israeli military occupation for over 75 years, and many Palestinian men, women, and children have been murdered by israeli soldiers like Gal. 

By others portraying Gal as a hero and a positive image of israel, the Palestinian People will continue to suffer at the hands of the israeli military occupation. She, like all israelis, has created this dystopia that israel is the greatest and happiest country in the world and that everyone should visit it and experience the “beauty” behind it. Meanwhile, she fails to mention that the country she calls israel is actually Palestine and that israelis are stealing and living on Palestinian land. 

Now is the time to act because Gal Gadot is promoting the fascism that israel displays. She normalizes the occupation and refuses to admit that she was wrong for joining the israeli army and doesn’t take any accountability for her actions. People need to see and understand that Gal Gadot’s intentions are not for the good of the Palestinian People or for humanity at all. 

I'm writing this because this is something I care about deeply and it won't happen without the support of people like you. Starting a petition isn't something I would normally do, but I was moved to do so because I believe Palestinians deserve their human rights and their land back, and people like Gal Gadot are the reason why Palestinians are oppressed and ethnically cleansed. I’ve been advocating for Palestinian human rights for almost three years and it’s crucial that we bring more awareness to the ugly truth about Gal and the entire israeli military occupation and government.
