An election as seen in various democracies and societies across the globe is an integral part of the running and order of such country, in which every eligible citizen has every right to have a say in the voting process through a casting process. It is one that should by all means be conducted in a transparent, free and fair manner to ensure that the rule of law is at most adhered to. 

Namibia is in the process of deciding who is to run the country for the next 5 years, but as we have seen in the past few days, particularly on Wednesday 27 November 2024, a great proportion of the citizens were not afforded the opportunity to have their say in the voting process as a result of the incompetence and inability for the ECN to stick to their mandate and the Namibian constitution as a whole, it has undermined the legitimacy of how to conduct free and fair elections.

Various issues have emerged such being:

•The shortages of ballot papers at a number of polling stations across the country.
•Malfunctioning  and overheating of verification machines.
•Witness accounts of voting agencies and party representatives alleging the manipulation and rigging of election results to only favour a particular party.
• Tempering of votes and miscalculations of results.
• Power outages during the voting process.  
• Failure of the ECN’s ability to afford every citizen the opportunity to cast their vote. 

It is therefore for the aforementioned reasons that the 2024 NAMIBIA PRESIDENTIAL AND NATIONAL ELECTIONS BE DECLARED NULL AND VOID!

We seek a rerun of the election one which will be determined on a mutual basis, and one that can ensure that the ECN accommodates each and every citizen to have a say in determining who should govern them, and doing so in adherence to the rule of law.
