The Issue
The BSA is planning to make an age cutoff in its senior programs, Venturing and SeaScouts, this will remove almost 20,000 eligible youth and ruin certain features of the program. 18-21 is still a very important part of development and programs such as Venturing and Sea Scouts help develop young adults into fine men and women. 18-21 is also a key age group in the Youth Led aspect of scouting and without it the youth led would suffer greatly.
