Sydney has now completed her second Eagle Project with Bideawee Pet Adoption. She is ready to receive the Eagle Rank she has earned. She, and other young women, should not be required by an overwhelmingly male Scout leadership to have to wait until October 2020. By stalling to reward young women the rank they have earned, while awarding young men the same rank, President Jim Turley and the Scouts BSA are engaging in blatant gender discrimination. Discrimination hurts scouting and our members. Of course, Sydney and other young women should not be harassed online by a senior adult in the organization. Please email Scouts BSA President Jim Turley and ask him to end the gender discrimination of Sydney and other young women and to speak out against harassment. President Turley can be reached at laurieanndaly@gmail.com.
