Dear AT&T CEO/Boy Scout President Stephenson:
In the past years, the Boy Scouts have built a positive legacy by supporting the admission of gay boys, gay adults and, most recently, accepting 8-year-old Joe Maldonado and the transgender community. I support and applaud you for discussing the end of discriminatory practices against young people of all kinds. I encourage you to please read the heartfelt comments attached to the Change.org Scout Petition, many written by Eagle Scouts. (https://www.change.org/p/the-boy-scouts-of-america-end-discrimination-against-young-women)
I am writing to you today to respectfully request that you continue on this path towards full inclusiveness by permitting young women to immediately and fully participate in all Boy Scout programs in those Troops that elect to welcome and enroll such leaders of tomorrow. Now is the time for the Boy Scouts to solidify its legacy and allow girls to become full members of welcoming Cub Packs and Scout Troops, join the honor society, and be permitted to earn the Eagle Rank.
I look forward to hearing the positive news from the upcoming annual Boy Scout Board meeting, and then working with you to grow the ranks of the Boy Scouts.
Sincerely,
Support now
