Building houses on Ingoldisthorpe pond will pose a serious risk to existing houses flooding in the area as it is situated at the bottom of a Hill. At this moment, the water gradually runs into the pond. If this was to be built on and levelled out, where would the water go?

There are also various protected wildlife such as newts and oyster catchers are found in the area. 

Why would anyone want to destroy this piece of land that has been the centre of a village for years?
