The UK Covid-19 Inquiry has long been eye opening as to the reasons why the last government failed to keep us safe during the pandemic. Now, the evidence is showing that THIS government is also failing to learn lessons and prepare for the next crisis, which could be right around the corner.

Despite promising to put recommendations from the Inquiry into action, the Government has made barely any progress. This is a problem for us all.  

We are campaigning to make sure what happened to our loved ones doesn’t happen to anyone else. That is why we fought for the Inquiry, and continue to fight to make sure our experiences are heard. 

Sadly, it  looks like that won’t be enough. We have now written to the Chair of the UK Covid 19 Inquiry asking her to call Pat McFadden, the minister responsible for resilience and preparedness, to explain why so little progress has been made against recommendations. 

We know there will be another pandemic, and we know that a crisis could be round the corner at any time. We need your help to hold this Government to account, to make sure the work of the Inquiry doesn’t go to waste.
