Petition updateHold a public inquiry into the Government's handling of the Covid-19 pandemicWe’ve come a long way but lives are still at stake

It’s been a little while since we last wrote to you, and in that time the campaign has had a huge success – The Government have accepted and agreed that an inquiry into Covid-19 must happen and that it must be a statutory inquiry.

That’s a huge win for thousands of bereaved families and it’s thanks to you and everyone else who has supported us that we’ve gotten to this stage.

But it’s still not good enough that the inquiry is not due to start until Spring 2022, that’s made even more clear by Matt Hancocks appearance at the Health and Science joint select committee today.

Hundreds of thousands of bereaved families will have felt a shudder as Matt Hancock stated “sometimes you have to put yourself in jeopardy”. The truth is it was our loved ones who were placed in jeopardy and they paid for it with their lives.

With more and more variants of Covid-19 occurring and experts warning of a third wave there’s no time to waste.

Can you help us get the rapid review we need as a country to learn lessons and save lives?

1) Can you help us by giving a monthly donation? Any amount helps bereaved families fight for answers.

2) Can you help us by giving a one off donation? You’ll help us organise and campaign for the rapid review we need.

3) Can you help us secure the future of the National Covid Memorial Wall by giving a one off donation?

We’re also in the process of launching a petition on the official Government website to tell the Government to start the process for an inquiry now – we will keep you updated on this as it develops.

Thank you for everything you’ve done already, and continue to do, to support bereaved families across the UK.

All the very best,
Nathan Oswin
