Black people are disproportionately affected by this policy. Recent coverage of police conduct when they stopped and searched the athletes, Bianca Williiams and her partner is a public example of what black people experience daily. This is an infringement of people's human rights and it is having a negative effect on their well-being and mental health.The policy needs to be reviewed so that police can no longer stop and search anyone without valid evidence of criminality. Recent events have shown that racial profiling and discrimination are having a disproportionate impact on black people. This needs to stop now!
