Boris Johnson admitted that the NHS saved his life. The NHS has been underfunded for at least 10 years and pay levels have fallen. NHS staff need a 15% pay increase to bring them back to the level they would have been 10 years ago.

NHS workers have been working above and beyond the call of duty and the number who have literally given their lives to save others is growing. They don't do it for the money, but that does not mean that they should be exploited.

Many families contain people who work in the NHS. Some have generation after generation. Many people in the NHS work to keep it clean, safe, efficient and up to date. Nurses and doctors are very important, but there are many other therapies and departments that are not always in the limelight, but do amazing work.

The pressure has been so intense over recent years that many people have walked away. That's sad. They felt unloved and discounted by society. A pay increase for them is a small token of our esteem, but it will make a difference to their standard of living and may mean that they can stay within their life calling.

We all want to get the care we need when the time comes. Let's sign this and let the Government know.
