Make the education of the Meat/Dairy Industry mandatory to protect our children's future

The Issue

People all over the World are raised eating meat products including dairy, with no understanding of where these products come from, continually detaching us from the amount of lives we consume daily and how unvoluntarily we are encouraging the torture of animals. If cruelty to animals wasn't enough, animal agriculture in one of the leading causes to global climate change.

Common practises used in factory farms all over the world include; forcefully impregnating cows, killing their newborn calves so companies can keep producing dairy products from the milk meant for their young. Male and female chickens are seperated at birth, and the male chicks are sent to blenders where they are killed in their thousands DAILY after being alive for less than a few hours, just so we can have eggs (practise also used for free range products). The list is endless. This unethical industry successfully conceals the truth, but people are starting to become aware.

Additionally, false news is continually fed to the general public reassuring you that meat derived products we consume are healthy, with no scientific evidence to support this. Recent studies have told us red meat is as carcinogenic as smoking cigarettes and all meat/ dairy are connected to diabetes, dementia, cancer.. Yet another endless list. People supporting the idea, that children cannot get their protein or essential nutrients without animal products, are falsely informed. All vital nutrients and vitamins needed for the human body, originate from plants.

The meat and dairy industry make too much money from too many people who are lied to. Did you know the amount of money spent on feeding farm animals is enough to feed every starving individual on this Earth? Given the choice and education needed, many people would choose compassion, a healthier and a more sustainable lifestyle.

Schools educate children how to be healthy when meat/dairy is interpreted in their diets. But we need to include the education of factory farming, environmental impacts and how to be healthy on a plant-based diet. Plant-based diets are already becoming the norm but by teaching this in schools, our children would get the proper education needed to create a more promising future for ALL animals, the environment and themselves.

Change starts with education.
