Four years ago today, I stood outside the UK parliament and vowed to fight on for citizens' rights - we are still fighting today.
Not only has the UK government still failed to guarantee the rights of all EU citizens in the UK and secure similar assurances for all Britons living in the EU, it is failing to protect the democratic rights of the 5 million.
What happened with #DeniedMyVote in 2019 is symptomatic of an underlying attitude by successive Conservative UK Governments since the referendum to simply disregard the rights of people from the EU who have come from abroad to make their lives in the UK.
Courage Calls online event on citizens' rights, 25 June
Without the support of our members, donors, and all who sign petitions such as this one over the last few years we would not have achieved the limited successes we have done.
So today, I want to say thank you to you for all your support.
I also want to invite you to come and join us so that we can fight on - for a public inquiry into #DeniedMyVote, for EU citizens to have their voting rights secured in local elections, for all EU citizens to be given the right to stay in the UK who have already settled here as a matter of right and not just because they have applied for "settled status".
For British citizens abroad, we want to continue to campaign for the end of the 15 year rule and the rights they are entitled to under the Withdrawal Agreement.
For #the5million - Britons in Europe and EU citizens in the UK _ we want an #EUGreenCard - a green card for Europe.
Tomorrow, we will be holding the first in a series of workshops for different political parties and campaign groups on our on-going campaigns for citizens rights.
Please chip in what you can so we can continue to fight for the rights of #the5million.
Thank you.
