When the world's media turned up on Parliament Sq. for Brexit we were there to say: "Don't Make Citizens Pay Price of Brexit".
Our Brexit Day vigil on Parliament Square and at Europe House
Thanks to your support, we were able to stage vigils for citizens' rights in London, Oxford and Brussels on Friday, 31 January as planned.

Else Kvist, who was denied her vote in the European elections, joined Kate Willoughby, the actor, writer and activist who campaigns as the suffragette Emily Davison and a team from New Europeans to lead a candlelit vigil for citizens rights outside Europe House on Brexit night.
Our key message was that Brexit will not be done until we have fully guaranteed and safeguarded citizens rights, including the right to vote.

That same morning we had held a photo op and impromptu press conference by the Millicent Fawcett statue on Parliament Square.
A similar protest took place in Brussels thanks to our Brussels' members, while in Oxford were the co-organisers of a meeting and candlelit vigil
At all these events we made the case that EU citizens voting rights in local elections may be at risk after the end of the transition period.
You do not have to be a remainer to understand that:
- it was wrong to deny EU citizens and Britons abroad in the EU elections;
- it would be wrong to strip EU citizens of their current voting rights in local elections;
- it would be wrong to leave the 15 year rule in place for Britons abroad.
You just have to be a democrat.
We will fight on until we secure the voting rights of EU citizens in the UK and Britons in Europe as well as further guarantees of their rights to stay.

We are not going to let go of the #DeniedMyVote issue and neither should you.
#DeniedMyVote goes to the heart of what it means to be a modern, inclusive, well-functioning democracy.
#DeniedMyVote shines a light on this Government's true intentions.
It is a government that too often gives the impression it rules not for the people but instead for its backers and for itself.
It is a government that does not care about the democratic rights of EU citizens in the UK or Britons abroad.
That is why it is right that we should stand up and fight for our rights.
Thank you for your support; keep sharing the petition and please do chip in what you can to support our ongoing campaign.
