Encouraging news - MPs in the House of Commons have reacted to the dossier of evidence we sent them last week by calling on the Electoral Commission to demand a full set of data about the extent of the #DeniedMyVote scandal in preparation for an inquiry (see link at bottom of page).
In a letter to Sir John Holmes, Chair of the Electoral Commission, Catherine West MP has asked for research to be undertaken to ascertain how many of the additional registration forms (UC1forms) were sent out to EU citizens and how may returned for every local authority in Britain.
This will complete the evidence that New Europeans has amassed so far from our surveys of Electoral Registration officers which suggests that the average return rate of UC1 forms is 21%.
Please continue to send in the data you have received back from your local authority so that we can continue to share this with MPs.
In the European Parliament, the Brexit Steering Group continues to examine the evidence we have supplied which in our view shows there was a "a systematic failure by the Government to prepare in a timely and adequate way for the elections as required by EU law”
We continue to press Theresa May at every opportunity in the House of Commons and will do so again tomorrow when she gives a statement on the outcome of the European council meetings.

As well as your contributions to the campaign appeal, we have also hugely appreciated your comments and feedback.
They point to how deeply this issue is felt by all of us who care passionately not just about the rights of EU citizens and Britains abroad but also the state of British democracy.
Here are a few examples:
"It is outrageous people most affected by Brexit are denied a vote. Other countries do not dump their citizens abroad the way UK does." Jan
"EU Citizens MUST have a Vote!" David
"Those living abroad will be concerned about economic prosperity of family and friends living in UK. Their vote should count" Steven
"This is about true democracy and I am right behind it." Debbie P.
"Well done: keep up the good work! :-)" Alan R
"Anyone who has the right to vote must be able to do so" Charlotte
"Thank you for campaigning on this issue. It is an offence against democracy!" Alicia
"All votes should count and all eligible voters should be allowed to vote." Chris
"Carry on the good work to support ALL Europeans wherever they are." Julie
"It is about time true intent of full electorate is to be known, even if our ghastly government subsequently becomes upset!" Mark J
"Necessary action" David
"Democracy is very precious." Hopper
