Is your Refund Credit Note ATOL protected? Apparently "it depends".

By the time we get to the September ATOL renewals there could be £5-10 billion of ABTA's rum Refund Credit Notes in the market.

If you accepted a Refund Credit Note and then your tour operator fails before redemption to cash YOU COULD LOSE 100% OF YOUR MONEY unless it turns out your RCN was ATOL protected.

Is your RCN ATOL protected? Who knows? Only the CAA can say, everyone else is just offering an opinion.
