Petition updateBon Jovi, Boycott IsraelHouse-by-house Israel pushes Palestinians into poverty. Bon Jovi, what are you going to do about it?
PACBI The Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of IsraelRamallah, Palestinian Territories
Sep 3, 2015
Because of Jon Bon Jovi's Soul Foundation which focuses on “combating issues that force families and individuals into economic despair”, our campaign focuses on highlighting the economic aspects of Israel's apartheid regime.
This morning Israeli soldiers invaded Taybeh village, east of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, and demolished four Palestinian homes and three sheds.
The Palestinian News & Info Agency (WAFA) has reported that several military vehicles, accompanied by armoured bulldozers, invaded the village, and demolished the properties that belong to members of the ‘Arab al-Ka’abna Bedouin family.
A family member told WAFA that the structures housed 25 family members, and that the total losses exceed 40.000 Israeli Shekels.
House-by-house Israel ethnically cleanses the indigenous Palestinian people, driving them into poverty and exile.
We hope to illustrate to Jon and the rest of the band, the economic policies which their concert will serve to whitewash, so that they may reconsider this performance- in light of Palestinian civil society call for international solidarity- to boycott Israel.
We also hope to encourage you to sign and share the petition with your family and friends.
