Mayor Handren is pushing big roads in a recent "Citizen Survey" that you can find on the City's website (see below). Traffic is an issue in Boerne but most of it is connected to construction on IH-10 and local subdivisions.  There are 3-4 hotspots in Boerne that were identified in the final 2019 TxDOT Gateway Study and all of them were school-related.  Let's fix those incrementally with minor extensions, widening or signage.  Let's NOT give the City more greenfield roads that destroy aquifers, creeks and rivers.   The City's real agenda here is to extend its ETJ by reaching a population goal of 25,000 within its borders.  Greenfield roads help them reach their goal.  But 90% of Boerne citizens don't want a bigger Boerne.
