Surrender the two old and neglected "guard dogs"!

Surrender the two old and neglected "guard dogs"!
The Issue

Over the course of the last few weeks, a growing group of concerned citizens has banned together over the mistreatment of Bob's “sentry dogs” that were located at the Rite Aid and Siesta Yoga on Franklin/Western. Many of us visited daily and were disappointed to see the inadequate conditions the animals were kept in. One of the three dogs (who was removed early on) was clearly terrified and confused - barking all day and night - with little rest. The German Shepard was sleeping amongst trash and broken glass. On several nights, we went with our umbrellas to try and comfort the dogs that were completely soaked and shivering from downpour and thunder (the Rottweiler pictured above on one of those nights). The German Shepard was in clear need of immediate medical attention and could not adequately support himself on his hind legs. Both dogs were thirsty when offered water, and with ravenous appetites when offered food. These are just a few instances of the mistreatment and neglect that we observed.
Our immediate ask is that Bob's Dogs please surrender both dogs that were at Franklin/Western. They are seniors, who have clearly earned their rest in their golden days. We are prepared to take them in, get them any urgent medical attention they need, and find a loving home for the remainder of their lives. We are in the process of setting up rescues for both who are willing to take them on.
Thank you for taking the time to advocate for the wellbeing of the dogs we grew so fond of.
About the business: Bob's Dogs is a guard dog rental company (among other things) established in 1980 and owned by Bob Heiple. After following the operation for quite some time, we discovered that he owns a facility with a large number of dogs that he rents out to "protect" abandoned parking lots, buildings under construction, etc. These dogs are shuttled around to various locations and dropped off all alone. Oftentimes the locations are not safe for the dogs. We encourage you to please look up his company and the information available on the internet to learn more.
