We, the citizens of Vineland, do not want to give up control of our local library.

LS&S, a private, for-profit company is currently attempting to privatize the Vineland Public Library. They would  take over management of our library payroll, employees, volunteers & book selection. Most day-to-day expenses will still be the responsibility of the city (janitorial, landscaping, groundskeeping, security, maintenance, utilities, technology equipment, etc.). Current library employees will be "offered the opportunity" to apply for employment with LS&S. In many of their contracts: they favor minimum wage and have been known to supplement staff shortages with volunteers and those performing court-ordered community service.

The heart of our library is our staff. The amazing programs & services that they provide to our community are vital.

Sign this petition and tell the Board of Trustees: 

"I OPPOSE the privatization of the Vineland Public Library. We must stop any efforts to outsource or privatize our local library."
