I found out this week that the clients who were receiving therapy at RCSAS are now being offered counselling at the Life Centre in Crawley instead. For my own personal reasons, this centre isn't suitable for me, which is really frustrating and upsetting. I'm hoping that as many clients as possible are able to carry on with their counsellors at this new place though.
Aside from the Life Centre, another rape crisis centre - Survivors Network- in Brighton, will be offering some services to clients from RCSAS. I'm not sure on all the details but again, I really hope the clients who have been offered this are able to access this new place and that it isn't too far (Brighton is about 25 miles south of Crawley).

My local MP hasn't contacted me yet - I emailed them over a week ago... I'm not holding out much hope from them, and they voted "no" recently (6th July 2020) on two clauses to the Domestic Abuse Bill which is super depressing (but not surprising). That being said, I still think it's worth emailing / contacting MPs and getting this info out since there is still barely any public information on the closure of RCSAS.
It's three and a half weeks now since RCSAS closed. And we STILL don't have any information from the Board Members. No-one has come forward to say "this is why we closed" or even just "we closed the centre". It's still totally wild to me that they could even do this?? I know how much it's affected my mental health and can only guess at how it's affected all the other clients too..
Please keep sharing/emailing MPs etc and thank you if you read all of this. Sending love to any RCSAS clients reading this =)
