Why congregation members of All Saints Church are protesting?
1. As per Detailed project report the Metro was to run under the Hosur Road. But later the plan was changed by BMRCL to bring the alignment inside the Church compound.
2. Church had already given nearly 2 acres of land to the BWSSB for construction of huge water storage reservoir for the benefit of people residing in areas like Richmond Town, Langford Town, Shanthinagar, Austin Town, Neelasandra, Ashok Nagar etc.
3. In spite of the above, the church has given 38208 Square Feet of prime land to Metro where the Church was getting rental income from lessees like Bharat Petroleum, Toms restaurant, Fathima Bakery etc.
4. Metro has been demanding additional land to an extent of more than 40000 Square feet and is threatening to forcefully take the same if not given temporarily for a period of 4 to 6 years.
5. If the additional land is given following are the disadvantages:
a. The school run by the Church for the children of special needs will be demolished.
b. More than 100 trees which are more than 100 years old will be axed.
c. There will not be entrance for the congregation members from Hosur Road side.
d. There will not be parking place for the congregation members and for those guests who will attend weddings in the community center of the church which will result in nobody preferring to book this community center.
e. Since the church will be small, most of the members will be seated in the lawn which cannot happen after the land breaking starts.
f. 150 year old Heritage building may not withstand any shock while land breaking.

What are the suggestions offered by the church members.
1. BMRCL has reduced the station length from 300 Meters to 236 Meters and the reduction has been allowed at the military ground side. But the church is requesting to give the reduction from this side.
2. The station length at MG Road and Shivajinagar stations has been kept at 192 Feet. The church is requesting Vellara Junction to be accommodated at the same size thereby 44 Meters of station length can be reduced from church side.
3. The width at other stations has been kept at 24 Meters whereas for Vellara it is 41 Meters in front of the Church and 30 Meters at the Petrol Pump. The church is requesting for uniformity like other stations too.
