Blue Valley Northwest is a diverse school filled with students of many races, genders, and sexual orientations. And as the years go by, we're just getting more and more diverse, and as a result we have to learn to accommodate, welcome, and give our students a place where they not only can learn, but feel comfortable in their own skins and thrive.

Despite our school's current efforts to create an accepting environment, our trans community is still facing a humiliating and frustrating problem: no personal hygiene disposal bins in the men's rooms. Trans men are either forced to flush products down the toilet, which causes plumbing damage and environmental problems, or are forced to use the women's room. Using the women's room is not only damaging to their mental health, but goes against our school's policy of accommodating and supporting our minorites.

Installing disposal bins is such a simple action, but would mean the world to our transgender community, and would help pave the way to a safer and more happy Blue Valley Northwest. Please sign this petition. Not only to show your support for BVNW's LGBTQ community, but also to show our administration that this is an important issue that the student body genuinely cares about.
