ZocDoc reported that it got the blessing from the New York State Department of Health to proceed with its new revenue model and claim no anti-kickback laws are being violated as it charges medical practices a per booking fee for new patient appointments.  However, it remains unclear why they were unable to do this for Medicare or Medicaid patients if no law is being broken.  I requested the emails between ZocDoc and the New York State Department of Health for clarification of this huge discrepancy, and received a 36 page document with 3 blacked out pages.  What are they trying to hide?  Demand that ZocDoc and the New York State Department of Health remove the redactions from the pages.  This is not the Mueller Report and has nothing to do with national security!

Also ZocDoc previously said they would waive the booking fee for appointments made for patients with Medicare and Medicaid health insurance plans.  But now they changed their mind and banned users with Medicare and Medicaid plans from even using the website!  Since 83% of Medicare beneficiaries are aged 65 and older and 16.3% are disabled, this is discrimination against the elderly and people with disabilities, a violation of public accommodation laws!  Read on about the impact of ZocDoc's discriminatory practice in a new petition!  Click the link below!
