As an internet user, I initially appreciated Telegram's end-to-end encryption, which promised security and confidentiality. However, the same features that were meant to protect us are now being exploited by those aiming to operate in the shadows.

The misuse of Telegram has increased exponentially, turning it into a hub for illicit activities, propaganda, and misinformation. More than 500 million active users worldwide rely on the platform, but a significant portion uses it for unethical or illegal purposes. It's time we took a stand against the lack of control and oversight that has allowed this shift to happen.

To protect innocent users and uphold the integrity of online communication, I am calling for the blocking of Telegram until stricter regulations and better controls are implemented. We urge the responsible authorities to investigate and ensure that Telegram operates transparently and resides within the bounds of law and accepted norms.

There are precedents for action against digital platforms that do not comply with ethical standards, and the same should be applied here. Implementing policies to monitor content, restricting illegal activities directly, and ensuring that Telegram complies with international standards for user safety can curb the ongoing issue.

My request is not to limit freedom of speech but to prevent the platform from being a safe haven for those with harmful intentions.
