During Gustavo Petro’s 2022–2026 presidency,  he often used his X account as a way to try to govern, influence public opinion, and respond to political issues directly through social media.
Even after his presidency ended, he continues to post frequently on X, often sharing information that is misleading, confusing, or not supported by facts. Some of his posts also make it seem as if he still has the authority or role of the president.

Since De la Espriella became president, this has become even more concerning. Petro is no longer the president, but his messages continue to create confusion and division among Colombians.
People have the right to know what is true and what is not. Social media should not be used to spread misinformation or create confusion about who is actually governing the country. We need more responsibility from public figures, especially former presidents, when they communicate with millions of people.

We must urge this social app to take a stand against the spread of distorted information by limiting access to platforms for those who consistently abuse it. By blocking Gustavo Petro's account, we can take a step towards restoring truthful dialogue and ensuring that Colombian citizens receive factual and unbiased information.
