WoW Official LEGACY SERVERS

WoW Official LEGACY SERVERS
The Issue
Fellow WoW Private server players,
No matter how much we argue with each other on "Which Server is the best," we all have one thing in common. We like playing oldschool WoW. Whether it be Vanilla, TBC, or WotLK (excluding Cata+ because that content is still considered part of the main game/left unchanged by Blizzard and can therefore be re-experienced in the main game.)--- We need official servers by Blizzard.
Now, yes, we are able to experience our favorite games from the past in a lively environment right here! Right in our safe private servers!...But that won't be for long. All of us know, deep in the back of our minds, that these private servers are only temporary. All the characters we created... All the friends we made... All the raid bosses we downed, or the players we ganked... It will soon mean nothing.
Servers are not known for staying up for long periods of time. Maybe 1... 2... or 3 years tops, from my experience. And we just flock onto new servers, and Blizzard still believes that we "Don't really want vanilla servers." I would like to challenge that.
Now, Blizzard, if you really think we don't want vanilla servers, how does the server Nostalrius actually beat some of the populations of your retail server's own? 10,000+ people is nothing to gawk at. Let's just imagine that 70% of these people did not have Battle.net subscription (Which is often the case, with me, and a lot of the people I talk to on these servers. Nobody really wants to play retail WoW and Vanilla WoW at the same time.) So, with that assumption made, let's do some math. A World of Warcraft subscription currently (as of 2/25/16) costs $15.00 USD per month. That means you could be making about $100,000 extra every month with the addition of Vanilla servers.
Here's another thing. Vanilla, TBC, WoTLK servers don't need updates or patches, just maintenance. I believe you would even be able to recruit some of these dedicated private servers to work with you on this game. You would only need to designate a few people on your team to help.
Yes, Legion is coming out. We understand that main game priorities come first. But we would at least like to let you know that "Yes, we do REALLY want legacy servers." Please don't brush this off and say that we "think we want it, but won't enjoy it in reality." because we ARE enjoying it in reality, whether you are hosting it or not. Please look to Jagex' Runescape on this one. I just believe that if you were to host these servers instead, WoW population would increase, old players would come back, and people would feel safe investing lots of time (and money!) into your game, but this time, hosted by you.
Thank you for taking your time to read this fellow legacy-lovers.
Please spread this around as much as you can, to Blizzard and to people you think would like to sign this petition.
