A quick update. I'm back in Salt Lake City and will be at the scheduled Bench Trial for my unfair dismissal case on Tuesday, Oct 3 at 9am in Room 6B.
It's a tough path, to have a judge find against an employer in Utah. Simply because of the 'at-will' employment laws that exist in Utah, but its not impossible! My counsel and I have fantastic evidence and witnesses to corroborate that I was indeed fired for reporting my assault to the police, a protected activity that overrides at-will employment.
It would be great to have any of you at the court for support.
If you can or can't be there, you might like to also consider supporting further by calling Murdock Hyundai Lindon and letting them know that you stand behind me and are appalled by the assault and false reasons for being fired.
